London Review of Books

Opened in 2003 by the ​London Review of Books in the heart of Bloomsbury, just a Rosetta Stone’s throw from the British Museum, the London Review Bookshop has now established itself as an essential part of the capital’s cultural life, a place for people who love books to meet, talk, drink excellent tea and coffee, consume delicious food from the cake shop, and of course, browse. Our selection of around 20,000 titles ranges from the classics of world literature to the cutting edge of contemporary fiction and poetry, not forgetting a copious display of history, politics, philosophy, cookery, essays, children’s books, science and natural history. Our aim has always been to represent on our shelves the distinctive character of the ​Review – intelligent without being pompous; engaged without being partisan; fun without being frivolous. If you aren’t able to visit us in person, we hope our website will give you a flavour of what makes the shop unique. If you are able to join us in Bury Place, we look forward to finding you the books you need, and just as importantly, guiding you towards some new discoveries.
