Brick Lane Bookshop is proudly independent and was established in 1978. We stock Fiction, Non-fiction, London Books, Children’s Books, Poetry, Essays, Feminism, Travel, Classics, Philosophy, Cards, Tote bags and more. We’re open everyday and our booksellers are always happy to give recommendations, so if you’re not sure what you’re looking for, please ask. We can order most books that are in print in the UK within two working days – often by the next day. Our history is the history of a community: Brick Lane Bookshop grew out of a vibrant local network of innovative activities and ideas that often sparked each other, pushing us into new, unexpected directions.
